The Institute for Motivational Living, founded in 1983 by Sanford G. Kulkin, is a training and publishing company designed to help people communicate better and work together more effectively. "The Institute" trains and certifies individuals with their behavior analysis course, Person to Person Certification. This training course provides the expertise to consultants, entrepreneurs, business managers, pastors and counselors in the use of the DISC Personality System and other behavioral assessment profiles for use in team building, career planning, hiring, conflict resolutions, family counseling, personal counseling, marriage counseling and time management.

Besides the Person to Person course, The Institute publishes Advanced Graph Analysis One, which emphasizes relationship counseling; Advanced Graph Analysis Two, which expounds deeper into corporate consulting; and The Stress Management Course, which identifies emotional and physiological sources of stress, and shows how each of the four behavioral styles instinctively react to stress.
