In 1985 STI ventured into the law enforcement field dedicating itself to maintaining police property and evidence. With an innovative staff, STI designed a police property management system using bar code technology already known to many law enforcement agencies. STI's automated control of evidence (ACE) is currently operating successfully in police departments nationwide.

Since 1985, STI has expanded into the human resource field. STI has developed a number of successful PC products enabling Human Resource Managers to better maintain the flow of employee information as well as the tracking of employee attendance.
