SilkRoad Technology Sponsors Human Capital Institute's "Recruitment Technologies" Education And Research Initiative
Washington, DC - The Human Capital Institute (HCI), a global professional association and educator in talent management strategies, and SilkRoad technology, Inc., a software as a service (SAAS) provider of talent management solutions designed to help companies maximize employee talent, announced recently that SilkRoad is sponsoring HCI's Recruitment Technologies education and research track.
Recruitment Techologies is among several topics addressed in HCI's Talent Acquisition community of interest, a community HCI and its more than 102,000 members consider critical to organizations working to leverage human capital.
"Today's organizations are faced with multiple challenges discovering the best talent, getting employees up-to-speed, keeping them challenged and maintaining open communications, as well as managing traditional HR tasks such as compensation and benefits," said Allan Schweyer, HCI's Executive Director and Senior Vice President, Research. "SilkRoad's approach to these challenges, which enlists Web-based technology, is an example of moving talent management into the future. HCI is pleased to have SilkRoad as sponsor of this vital learning community."
HCI's Recruitment Technologies track aims to familiarize employers with available talent management tools and technologies, as well as to streamline and personalize the acquisition process. Through resources including Webcasts, white papers, blogs and other resources, shared by a panel of expert advisors, talent management professionals learn to use technology to their best advantage in a variety of HR and professional settings.
"SilkRoad's Life Suite of talent management solutions has helped organizations worldwide recruit, onboard, manage and retain the best employees," said Brian Platz, Chief Operating Officer of SilkRoad. "We anticipate that our alignment with HCI, and our sponsorship of HCI's Recruitment Technologies track, will bring important talent management knowledge to an even greater number of hiring professionals."
As part of its sponsorship, SilkRoad will host its first HCI track webcast, titled "Involved, Interested and Applicant: Candidate-Friendly Recruiting Technology," on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. EST. Presented by Claudia Faust and Alise Cortez of Improved Experience, a firm that develops business intelligence solutions for recruiting and HR, the webcast will cover innovations in the scope of recruitment technology to improve candidate communication and responsiveness and drive better quality of hire.
