Scriptsave Saves Cardholders Over $1 Billion

Tucson, AZ - ScriptSave, a leading provider of prescription drug savings programs, is pleased to announce that in its first decade of business over 12 million cardholders have saved more than $1 billion on their out-of-pocket costs for prescription drugs.

In 1994, the company was created as a way to help uninsured and underinsured consumers save money on the rising cost of prescription drugs. Since that time, the company has grown to providing prescription savings programs that are distributed through more than 300 sponsoring organizations. The ScriptSave program is offered by these sponsoring organizations at no cost to their customers, members and employees as a value-added benefit.

ScriptSave prides itself on offering its cardholders simple and easy-to-use prescription savings programs, along with outstanding customer care. Cardholders simply present their ScriptSave card to one of more than 50,000 participating pharmacies nationwide to receive instant prescription savings, which in 2004 averaged more than 21 percent per prescription.

"We are especially excited to have saved ScriptSave cardholders more than $1 billion because we know from talking to them every day how important these prescription savings are," states ScriptSave Chairman and Founder Charlie Horn. "And, we would like to acknowledge that the key to reaching this milestone in savings has truly been the business partnerships we have with our sponsoring organizations and pharmacy partners."

Each day the company receives thousands of calls from thankful cardholders across the country, many of whom explain that, if not for the program, they don't know how they would afford their prescription drugs each month.

"With 10 years of experience offering successful prescription savings programs, we are currently developing a variety of new healthcare products and services to meet the needs of today's healthcare marketplace," states ScriptSave President and CEO Lori Bryant. "Prescription savings programs have been and will continue to be part of our core business."
