TUCSON, AZ - ScriptSave, a leading provider of prescription drug discount programs, enters its second decade in business reporting total cardholder savings of more than three-quarters of a billion dollars.

Annual cardholder savings in 2004 totaled more than $170 million. ScriptSave cardholders' out-of-pocket savings for prescription drugs ranged from 15-50 percent in 2004, with a national average of 21 percent or $10.97 per prescription. Cardholders using ScriptSave Premier, the company's Medicare-approved drug discount card, experienced out-of-pocket savings averaging 22.78 percent or $13.71 without paying any enrollment fee to participate in the program. The number of ScriptSave cardholders rose from 10 million in 2003 to more than 12 million in 2004.
