Recruitforce.com Delivers Enhanced Customization And Integration Capabilities With 5.2 Release

Advanced customization capabilities and debut release of the Recruitforce.com Web API highlight new version of on-demand recruiting software

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA - Recruitforce.com, a leading provider of on-demand hiring management solutions, today announced the release and general availability of Recruitforce.com 5.2. This latest version of Recruitforce.com introduces custom page layouts, state-of-the-art drag & drop functionality, multi-select picklists, mask fields, new fields and field properties, enhanced reporting, system-wide security settings, and many other features and enhancements requested by Recruitforce.com's growing customer base. In addition, the company also released version 1.0 of its Recruitforce.com Web API, a SOAP-based web services interface allowing developers to extend and integrate Recruitforce.com with other back-office applications.

With the introduction of Recruitforce.com 5.2, companies can now completely customize the layout of forms and display pages inside their Recruitforce.com system to better match the way their organization manages and shares information. Drag & drop capabilities built into the Recruitforce.com administration interface allow users to perform these customizations quickly in an easy-to-use WSYWIG (what you see is what you get) format.

"Our customers need complete control over how candidate and requisition data is displayed and edited in their system. Recruitforce.com addresses this need using state-of-the-art drag & drop functionality allowing them to customize page layouts in multi- or single column formats with the ability to include custom HTML in each page," said Matt Robinson, CEO of Recruitforce.com. "Combined with new fields, new custom field types and properties, and the production release of our web services API, Recruitforce.com continues to lead the charge in delivering highly customizable recruiting software as a service."

Because all Recruitforce.com solutions are delivered as online services, upgrades are immediately available with no hardware or software requirements, consulting charges or upgrade costs. Recruitforce.com 5.2 has been deployed to all Recruitforce.com customers, and is now available for new users.

Key features in the new release include:

  • Custom Page Layouts: All Candidate, Requisition, and Offer pages and forms can be customized in the administration interface using drag & drop capabilities. Each of these pages and forms can be edited to include or hide standard and custom fields, title sections, text and any custom HTML. Positioning, sizing, and other field properties (such as read-only and required) are now defined for each field on a page layout basis rather than attached to the field itself, providing a way to treat fields differently based on the page they are used in.

  • Multi-select Picklists: In previous versions of Recruitforce.com picklists were only designed to allow a single selectable value. With the new multi-select picklist field you can now create lists in which multiple values can be selected and saved.

  • Custom Mask Fields: Custom text fields can now have an associated mask that strictly enforces input. For example, a mask defined as ###-##-#### will only allow values in a valid social security number format. A mask defined as ENG-### will only allow values of the form ENG-123.

  • New Candidate and Requisition Fields: Newly exposed standard fields such as Opened Date, Filled Date, Start Date, Hire Date and Reason for Rejection allow easier tracking and increased accuracy of time to fill and other important staffing metrics.

  • Field Integration Properties: To enable reliable access to standard and custom field information via the Recruitforce.com Web API, version 5.2 includes new properties for managing field integration names, descriptors, and unique identifiers for picklist values.

  • Support for British pounds: Now systems using the "English (United Kingdom)" locale default will automatically use the British Pound currency symbol (£).

  • New System-wide Security Level Settings: Administrators can choose between three security levels (Low, Medium and High) based on how strict they would like to handle user passwords, unsuccessful login attempts, data locks, and session expiration.

Recruitforce.com 5.2 also includes the debut production release of the Recruitforce.com Web API, a SOAP-based web services interface allowing developers to extend Recruitforce.com to integrate with other enterprise applications or build entirely new applications that leverage candidate and requisition data.
