Nvest selects Ceridian's application outsourcing solution

Ceridian will provide human resource management services to Nvest, L.P. through Source 500 Assist, Ceridian's application outsourcing product. Nvest will receive human resources management and tracking for 400 employees at multiple locations.

Source Assist provides customers with human resource and payroll solutions without the maintenance and support requirements of an in-house human resource information system.

"We decided on Ceridian's application service provider solution after an extensive review by our evaluation team including representatives from information technology and human resources, as well as a third-party consultant," said Kathy Karazia, vice president, human resources at Nvest. "In the end, Ceridian best met our outsourcing goals by offering a market-leading solution that minimizes the involvement of the IT staff and allows for greater flexibility in the future."

Ceridian, a unit of Minneapolis-based Ceridian Corp., provides outsourced and in-house human resources management solutions and, payroll and tax filing services. Nvest, based in Bellevue, Wash., had 18 affiliates and divisions with $130 billion in assets under management, as of June 30, 2000. These affiliates and divisions offer a wide array of investment styles and products to institutional and individual clients.
