National Healthcare Resources, Inc. (NHR) is a national provider of medical claims management services, offering medical cost-containment and care management solutions to payers of medical claims. The company specializes in the medical and utilization management of automobile, workers' compensation and disability insurance claims.

The Company was founded in 1992 to provide cost containment services to the auto insurance industry. Following a strategic investment by Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe in July of 1995, NHR embarked on an acquisition strategy to consolidate what has been a highly fragmented segment dominated by many small local competitors. As a result of executing this strategy, NHR now employs over 1200 people nationwide and provides its services through 22 operating locations with the capability to convey services in all 50 states.

The company's services are all offered on a fee-for-service basis. Customers include insurance companies, third party administrators, self-insured employers, state funds and attorneys. Service offerings include:
