May Department Stores, Putnam Investments, appoint HR executives
Gentilozzi is currently vice president for organizational development at May's Filene's department store division in Boston. She joined the company in 1984 as an area sales manager for May's former G. Fox department store division, and held various positions there in store management and associate training. In 1993, she was named director of stores human resources and associate training at Filene's, and was named divisional vice president of stores human resources and associate training at Filene's in 1995.
At Boston-based money management firm Putnam Investments, Theron S. Hoffman has been named senior managing director, chief of human resources. He will succeed Kathleen Collman, who plans to retire in 2001. Hoffman had been executive vice president of human resources since 1997 for the Thomson Corp., Stamford, CT, where he was responsible for global human resources, training and development, organization development and effectiveness, communications and public relations.
Before joining Thomson, Hoffman was a senior vice president of human resources and administration for General Reinsurance Corp. From 1988 to 1990, Hoffman was executive vice president of employee relations at Continental Can Co.
