To meet the growing need for career management and workforce solutions designed for high-end professional staff, Manpower Inc., has introduced a new operating unit, Manpower Professional.

The Manpower Professional name reflects the company's enhanced commitment to high-end professional staff, according to Manpower President and Chief Executive Officer Jeffrey Joerres. Manpower Professional is made up of six specialty market segments: information technology, finance, telecommunications, the sciences, engineering and other professional fields such as marketing, quality improvement and human resources, among others.

Manpower Professional, the fastest growing segment of Manpower, was originally known as Manpower Technical. "The name Manpower Professional signals businesses and contract employees that we provide a comprehensive scope of professional staffing solutions in key disciplines," said Joerres. "We have evolved from simply being a provider of contract staffing to being a leading resource for workforce and career management solutions related to professional staff."

In addition to staffing, Manpower Professional's workforce services provide businesses with planning and implementation of strategic operational programs, recruiting and retention programs and a full array of training services. "We take an entrepreneurial approach to designing solutions that are truly in concert with a customer's objectives," Joerres said

For contractors, Manpower Professional provides career management services, with access to free Web-based training in technical and professional skills, technical certification programs, labor market information and more.
