Leading Technology Company Adopts CONEXIS Name and Continues

Orange, CA – May 7, 2003 – One of the nation's leading technology companies, specializing in benefits administration for COBRA (Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act) and Section 125 plans has adopted a new name – CONEXIS – to signify the company's aggressive national growth, expanded scope of services, and focus on technical capabilities.

The new CONEXIS identity consolidates several separate product lines – including FlexPro (TM ) and CobraPro (TM) – that were once marketed independently. The name also emphasizes the CONEXIS drive to connect with customers, integrate services, and further enhance the value the company provides in terms of cost savings, compliance and customer service.

"This new name reflects our capabilities and commitment to deliver the most comprehensive and customer-focused COBRA and flexible benefit administration systems in the nation. It also shows our focus on the development of important new products, such as our HRA solution," said Ken Farrell, General Manager of CONEXIS. "We have invested time and resources to set ourselves apart through advanced technology, unprecedented flexibility and customization of solutions to better meet our customer requirements. Our rapid growth is evidence our value message is being well received, and is encouraging validation that our products and services are meeting a need in the marketplace."

Since 1986, CONEXIS has built its expertise in one of the nation's most challenging benefits arenas – California – and then expanded its services and capabilities to a national audience. With a growth rate of more than 25 percent a year for the last five years, and with more than 10,000 clients nationwide, CONEXIS is now one of the leading COBRA and FSA administrators in the country.

Today, COBRA and flexible benefits administration is more complex than ever before. Employers recognize the importance of these two areas, yet they are concerned about increasing regulations from Washington and uncertain about how to interpret many of those regulations and rules. Now more than ever employers must access experts that know and understand their industry and that can help them meet the demands of these increasingly challenging segments of employee benefits administration.

Farrell cites examples of how CONEXIS is helping to meet the industry's current need: "The CONEXIS commitment to employing and utilizing expert resources with a wide breadth of knowledge in the administration and regulatory processes in its core fields; its commitment to customer service, which includes a new account management program to ensure that clients receive individualized and dedicated service and support; performance and service guarantees offered to clients; and the ability to automate administrative processes for real-time reporting." As an example, the CONEXIS website offers comprehensive online services including electronic data submission, claims tracking as well as enrollment and summary reporting for clients and participants.

"Our clients say that what has made CONEXIS the administrator of choice is our commitment to listen, and our ability to create services and system solutions that meet their needs," said Farrell. "We've spent hundreds of hours with top human resource professionals to develop services and technologies our clients value. The result is a product line that enables them to convert from manual processes and labor-intensive paperwork to a system that utilizes technology to maximize efficiency."
