LaPetite Academy chooses UltiPro for payroll and HR processing
LaPetite Academy is the nation's largest privately held early childhood education company with approximately 14,000 employees in more than 750 locations in 35 states. Ultimate Software, Weston, FL, is a provider of Web-based payroll and employee management solutions.
LaPetite Academy sought an integrated employee management solution to automate and streamline its payroll and human resource processes—with minimal support from its management information systems department.
"We wanted to give the directors at each center instant access to their human resource and payroll information along with the ability to communicate electronically with our corporate office," said Chuck Rico, controller at La Petite Academy. "With UltiPro, having Web access to our vital employee-related information will eliminate our current paperwork processes, providing us long-term cost savings as we move from a paper-intensive to a paperless organization.
"No longer will we rely on our MIS team to assist in running our basic reports because UltiPro's 400-plus report library is easy to navigate and doesn't require technical knowledge," Rico added. "Each director will be able to run his or her own reports, giving them the ability to make informed decisions. In addition, headquarters has immediate Web access to key business statistics for real-time analysis of critical employee trends."
LaPetite Academy says UltiPro's payroll engine will also deliver features such as unlimited direct deposit files, automatic check reconciliation and the ability to track the progress of payroll processing from the desktop.
