Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. acquires Stowe Engineering

Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. (GPI), an engineering, planning and construction inspection firm based here, has acquired Stowe Engineering Corp., a Norwell, Massachusetts-based firm that specializes in engineering, design and construction services for the energy marketplace. The company will operate as Stowe Power, a division of GPI.

Established in 1982, Stowe provides comprehensive consulting services to electric generating companies, distribution companies, power plant developers, equipment manufacturers, design-build and EPC contractors, industrial/manufacturing facilities and all levels of government. Technical services include financial and conceptual design planning, detailed engineering and design, consulting, construction management, and testing and start-up.

Stowe's role on projects ranges in scope from feasibility analysis to prime engineer, procurement and construction contractor. Typical projects include cogeneration and IPP facility engineering; EPC contracting for gas turbine facilities central boiler/chiller plant upgrades; and engineering and design for automated controls, wastewater treatment systems and HVAC systems.
