Gild Launches Recruiting Program To Help Startups Find And Hire Top Talent

New "Gild Source for Startups" program offers recruiting technology and support to innovators at bootstrap cost.

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) - Gild (http://www.gild.com), which brings meritocracy to HR through innovative recruiting technologies, today launched a program dedicated to providing startups access to top developer talent at a fraction of today’s high candidate recruitment costs.

Titled “Gild Source for Startups,” the new program offers up to 30 startups a significantly discounted license for Gild Source – the first recruiting platform to identify and profile developers based on actual skill. Startups accepted into the program receive a full year of unrestricted access to Gild’s extensive developer database, as well as comprehensive Gild Source training and support.

“Gild Source solves a major headache for companies of any size. From startup to behemoth, organizations today urgently need developers, and Gild Source removes many of the unnecessary, and costly, search and evaluation steps in the recruiting process,” said Sheeroy Desai, CEO of Gild. “Startups trying to scale particularly like Gild Source because it lets them focus on measurable language abilities (Java, HTML, C++, Ruby, etc.), and instantly see who is really qualified – which is crucial when you’re short on time and resources.”

Gild Source, the company’s flagship recruiting technology, allows organizations to quickly identify top developer talent by analyzing open source projects and developer knowledge communities to generate profiles based on coding skill. Gild Source then harnesses additional insights from social and professional networks to help with job “fit” evaluation and to assist in the outreach and recruiting process.

To apply, startups fill out an application form – with the most consequential factor being proof that the organization values and encourages “meritocracy” in the workplace. Gild evaluates applications as they are submitted and connects with startups that are the best fits for the program.

Gild launched the program after feeling the pain of talent search and hiring as a startup itself, and used its own tool to locate, engage and hire a top Ruby developer that traditional candidate search tools – such as LinkedIn, Dice and online job boards – had missed.

“Talent recruitment – particularly in the highly competitive developer industry – can easily run an organization $20,000 per hire,” said Brad Warga, senior vice president for Customer Success at Gild. “The Gild Source for Startups Program is dedicated to providing young companies with the talent they need at a fraction of that cost.”
Since launching in July, Gild has doubled its revenue and has been adopted by enterprise companies including Akamai, Box, Evernote, Informatica, Square, Vistaprint, VMware, and Yelp. Among the current Gild Source for Startups beta participants are gaming company Rumble; music social network Hearo.FM; and Billfloat, a supplemental bill payment provider.
