Genesys Celebrates 20th User Conference This September in San Diego
Conference Will Focus on Strategies That Help HRMS, Payroll and Benefits Professionals Direct and Manage Organizational and Technological Change
METHUEN, Mass.--August 7, 2000--Genesys Software Systems, Inc., the Methuen, Mass.-based provider of outsourcing and software applications for human-resource management, payroll, and benefits, announced today that the 20th annual Genesys HRMS Conference will be held September 10-13, 2000, at the San Diego Paradise Point Resort. The conference will focus on helping human-resource management professionals lead and manage organizational and technological change.
"A lot has changed since Genesys held its very first conference in 1981, from the advent of voice mail to the ubiquitous World Wide Web," said Larry Munini, president of Genesys Software Systems. "In the early 80s, the Internet lay exclusively in the realm of technologists and academia, but today it's accessible to virtually every business person. Genesys offers a robust suite of browser-based products, available either as applications or via our ASP and outsourcing services, all of which will be presented in detail at the conference, along with strategies and tactics for leveraging the Web to business advantage."
Conference Course Offerings
The conference's keynote session, "Leading Change," will be delivered by Michael Avery, president of Avery Training International, who has taught the principles of best business practices to thousands of people in a broad spectrum of organizations around the world. An expert in instructional design and development, Avery is known for giving effective and entertaining presentations about the strategic skills required to succeed.
Conference groups and sessions were carefully selected to provide updates on current technology and insight into future developments. The conference will include a number of sessions devoted to emerging technologies, case studies presenting customers' innovative use of Genesys applications and services, focus groups on a variety of special-interest topics, and sessions detailing software products and outsourcing services.
At the Genesys Theater and Showcase, customers will be introduced to the latest Genesys products. A number of business partners will also participate in the showcase, including Aetna U.S. Healthcare, the nation's leading health and related benefits organization, with which Genesys recently announced a strategic alliance.
Conference attendees may arrange private strategy sessions with Genesys senior management, as well as network with Genesys' staff and HRMS software and service colleagues from hundreds of companies across the U.S.
Also associated with the conference are preconference workshops, a special evening event, and a guest program. The San Diego Paradise Point Resort, a tropical island situated in the heart of San Diego, is located across the street from Sea World and close to such attractions as the San Diego Zoo, Old Town San Diego, Coronado island, and La Jolla.
