BrassRing Enterprise First Talent Management Application TruSecure Certified By Cybertrust
Certification Demonstrates BrassRing's Commitment to Customer Security
Waltham, MA - BrassRing, a provider of global talent management solutions, today announced that BrassRing Enterprise 7.5, its award-winning talent management platform, has achieved TruSecure Application Certification by Cybertrust, a provider of information security consulting, managed services and enabling technologies. This certification complements BrassRing's existing TruSecure Perimeter Certification by Cybertrust. As the first talent management company to receive this certification for its software, BrassRing has the global lead in keeping electronic talent records secure.
Cybertrust's TruSecure Application Certification is a rigorous application security program that measures the security posture of a software application. Certified applications are hosted in a Cybertrust enterprise- or perimeter-certified environment and meet Cybertrust's Essential Practices for Applications, which represent the security measures necessary to mitigate application risk. Once the software application meets Cybertrust's Essential Practices, Cybertrust awards TruSecure Application Certification. The maintenance of certification is contingent upon continued security testing and adherence with Cybertrust Essential Practices.
BrassRing has taken widely recognized and accepted measures to secure its environment across six categories of risk including: electronic threats and vulnerabilities, malicious code, privacy, human factors, physical environment and downtime. The "TruSecure Certified by Cybertrust" seal validates BrassRing's security processes and technologies, and ensures that they are diligently applied to maintain a proactive, comprehensive and continuous information security risk management program for its growing customer base.
In achieving certification, BrassRing's Enterprise platform underwent Cybertrust's unique four-phased methodology that integrates all the components of a comprehensive, on-going risk reduction program: identify, assess, secure and assure. As part of the application and perimeter certification processes, BrassRing is subject to a comprehensive set of defined security controls, procedures and policy examinations, measured and validated by Cybertrust. Regular reviews, assessments and inspections ensure that BrassRing keeps recommended controls and safeguards current to address changes in the threat landscape.
"With both application and perimeter certification to its credit, BrassRing has demonstrated a commitment to security and risk management that achieves a level of risk reduction. This ensures its customers can confidently conduct business and avoid threats that may jeopardize valuable candidate information," said Peter Tippett, Cybertrust Chief Technology Officer.
BrassRing has taken its commitment to customer security one step further with the launch of BrassRing Security Consulting, a single-day evaluation to ensure client's Enterprise solutions are optimized to benefit from the application's certified configuration standards for securing and protecting candidate information. BrassRing's technology experts evaluate configuration settings to determine if customers are meeting best-practice security and privacy measures and if deficiencies are found, can provide a security needs assessment and recommendations to help customers secure candidate information and meet privacy policy standards and regulations.
"With new threats evolving each day, it's never been more critical for the talent management industry to ensure it is taking every possible step to protect valuable candidate information," said Deb Besemer, president and CEO of BrassRing. "To be TruSecure Certified by Cybertrust for both our Enterprise application and perimeter, coupled with the expertise of the BrassRing Security Consulting team, validates our ongoing commitment to meeting our customer's demands for secure, comprehensive solutions that support them through all stages of the talent lifecycle."
