<%=company1%>, a provider of career events, online recruiting solutions and talent relationship management systems, has acquired 1-Jobs.com, a career events and recruitment company.

The acquisition includes career events that 1-Jobs.com produced under the names, "Northwest HIGH TECH Career Fairs" and "Southwest HIGH TECH Career Fairs," among others. 1-Jobs.com will adopt the BrassRing name effective immediately.

"This acquisition will further build upon BrassRing's commitment to providing employers with a variety of integrated recruiting solutions," explained Deborah Besemer, president and CEO of Santa Clara, CA-based BrassRing. "Specifically, the High Tech Career Fairs will expand BrassRing's strong offering of technology career events around the country, allowing us to provide employers with even greater access to skilled technology talent."

The acquisition will add several additional career events to the BrassRing roster of 300-plus technology career events per year. In addition, 1-Jobs.com operates a network of over 650 regional Internet job sites, which will now be managed by BrassRing.

BrassRing was created through the combination of several recruiting and hiring management firms. It is owned by The Washington Post Co., Tribune Co., Gannett Co. Inc., and Accel Partners.
