BeneTrac Recognized As Leading Provider Of Employee Benefit Information Systems By Business Insurance Magazine

HR software company ranked second largest provider of employee benefit information systems by business benefits and insurance publication

San Diego, CA - Hawthorne Benefit Technologies, Inc., also known as BeneTrac, a provider of powerful, web-based electronic enrollment and employee benefits administration software, announced that it has been recognized by Business Insurance as the second largest provider of employee benefit information systems.

The survey from the publication, which ranks software providers of various benefit communication and information systems by number of installations in corporate benefit departments, lists BeneTrac second. BeneTrac is also shown as having had its first installation in 2000, one of the most recent of the companies surveyed, further underlining its rapid growth and wide acceptance. The news comes shortly after BeneTrac announced significant milestones—management of 1.6 million employee enrollments, comprising $78 million in premiums for 450,000 members—and that the company is experiencing a 75 percent installation growth rate since February. In last year's survey from Business Insurance, BeneTrac ranked fifth.

"With employee benefit programs increasingly attaining strategic importance at companies of all sizes, products and services designed to help employers manage their benefits are in high demand," said Regis Coccia, editor of Business Insurance, the weekly newsmagazine serving buyers of employee benefit, risk management and commercial insurance programs. "Based on Business Insurance's annual ranking, BeneTrac is clearly one of the leaders in the field of Benefit Information Systems and a provider to keep an eye on."

"This high standing from Business Insurance, along with achievement of our major growth milestones and recent distinction for business/process enhancement by eHealthcare, are testimonials to the growth and acceptance of BeneTrac as a widely-accepted platform for simplifying benefits management and the responsibilities of HR and their employees," said Jerry Hawthorne, RHU, CHC, chief executive officer. "We feel privileged to be honored by the leading publication in this space."
