Benefit Software Inc. Receives High Client Approval Ratings For Timely And Secure Delivery Of Online And Printed Benefit Statements

Santa Barbara, CA - Benefit Software Inc. (http://www.bsiweb.com), a leading provider of employee benefits enrollment and communication solutions, announced the results of its annual client satisfaction survey for Online and Print Benefit Statement Services. The survey showed that 96 percent of clients that outsourced their 2009 Benefit or Total Compensation Statement projects with Benefit Software were satisfied with their projects, and that they reported exceptionally high marks across the board for project management, level of service, compliance, and on-time delivery of the finished product.

Benefit Software produces Total Compensation, Total Rewards, and Benefit Statements for more than 200 organizations employing more than 150,000 employees. The survey asked clients to rate a variety of aspects involved in the completion of their statement project and included the following results:

  • 96 percent were satisfied with their project
  • 96 percent reported that they were kept well informed during the project
  • 96 percent reported that they received timely and accurate drafts of the statements
  • 100 percent reported being pleased with the look of their statements
  • 9 out of 10 clients agreed that the secure, HIPAA compliant project management website made the project easy to manage
  • 9 out of 10 clients agreed that the employee data summaries made it easy to audit employee statements
  • 9 out of 10 clients agreed that the printed statements were completed within a reasonable timeline
  • 96 percent reported that the project manager was responsive and knowledgeable

Employers need to be increasingly vigilant to ensure compliance with existing and pending federal regulations for protecting confidential employee data. The theft of personal information or breeches involving protected health information (PHI) under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) can translate into costly fines and even criminal penalties for employers. Most important, compliance concerns extend to vendors who must have processes in place to ensure secure data transfer and proper encryption methods for protecting confidentiality and preventing disclosure.

"We are pleased that our clients continue to rate Benefit Software highly when it comes to understanding their communication needs and delivering their projects on time and with careful attention to data protection and security issues," says William Smith, Vice President of Sales at Benefit Software. "When we hear from a Benefits Director that in her thirty plus years on the job she has never worked with a vendor that consistently exceeded her expectations, we know that we are focusing on what matters most to our clients-delivering a high-quality product using secure, trusted, and reliable processes."

"Providing exceptional service is about exceeding client expectations across all aspects of the project," says Heather Bechtol, Head of the Printed Benefit Statement Practice of Benefit Software's Professional Services Division. "Our team members combine their in-depth knowledge of benefits with IT acumen, project management expertise, and top-notch design and production skills to provide our clients with a complete solution for producing quality, high-impact statements. Moreover, with growing concerns over privacy and accountability, providing a secure website to manage the project is critical to ensuring data security and project transparency."
