Avitar Increases Sales Staff To Handle New Screening Product
Avitar, Inc., a company that provides substance abuse testing services, has appointed John Ciarlo, Lori DeWeese, Robert Stevens and Jeanne Ciccone as regional sales managers for its New York Metro, Western, and Northwestern and Northeastern Regions, respectively. The additions are the latest in a hiring campaign initiated with the launch of the company's ORALscreen product, an oral fluid-based rapid screening product for substance abuse testing.
"We've reached a critical mass with the sales operation and are fully engaged in reaching our revenue goals for ORALscreen during this first full fiscal year of sales," said Peter P. Robert Stevens has almost twenty years of sales and marketing experience in the clinical diagnostics industry, including over twelve years with SmithKline Beecham. Lori DeWeese served previously as a regional sales manager with SmithKline Beecham and earlier in her career was at PharmChem Laboratories. John Ciarlo was formerly the owner/operator of Gamma Medical Products and joins Avitar after years of experience with a leading hair testing company. Jeanne Ciccone has a seventeen-year career in sales and sales leadership in the diagnostics industry with companies such as Baxter, Behring Diagnostics, and Accutech Plastics, Inc.
