Sanmina selects Criterion to manage affirmative action

Electronic component company Sanmina Inc. has chosen human resource software provider Criterion Inc. to help manage Sanmina's diversity and compliance programs.

Sanmina is currently employing an aggressive acquisition strategy to expand its services and global presence. The San Jose, Calif.-based company has offices and facilities across the United States and will plug Criterion's Affirmative Action Management System (CAAMS) software into Sanmina's current human resources management system.

"Because Sanmina has tripled in size through key acquisitions, our human resource professionals recognized the importance of establishing a centralized affirmative action solution," said Roger Lewis, manager of compliance programs for Sanmina. "This will ensure compliance and uniform plan preparation at all Sanmina facilities, both old and new."

"The meteoric growth of certain segments of our economy has created new, unforeseen problems for companies that need to maintain successful affirmative action and diversity programs," said Marcia Jones, chief operating officer for Irving, Texas-based Criterion. Criterion provides integrated human resource planning software products and services that help human resource professionals enhance the effectiveness of their workforce.
