HR Alliance Maintains Focus On Growth And Advancement Of HR Professionals In Washington DC

Re-branded WTPF kicks off fall schedule with discussion of employee engagement.

McLean, VA (PRWEB) - HR Alliance, formerly known as WTPF, kicks off its new year of events with a September 10 breakfast presentation on employee engagement from Michael Heller of Pillar One Consulting and Scott DiGiammarino of Reel Potential.

This summer, the 50 year-old organization rebranded themselves as HR Alliance to better reflect the mission and activities of the organization. HR Alliance’s mission is to provide members with the resources and tools to jump-start, reboot, or continually improve their career in HR, with a special focus on the technology and government contracting sectors.

“We are excited about kicking off the 2014-2015 year under our new name,” said Emily Bender, President HR Alliance and Sr. Vice President of Human Resources, Orbital Sciences Corporation. “We’re committed to providing the same quality training, content, and insight our members have come to expect with a refreshed image.”

In addition to monthly programs, many that qualify for continuing education credit, HR Alliance conducts and distributes an annual Compensation Survey for the Washington, DC technology services community. The 2014 Survey results are available for purchase now.

The September 10 breakfast at the Gannett Building in McLean, VA will explore the critical topic of Employee Engagement. What is employee engagement? Why do I want it? How do I create it? This will be discussed in the context of creating successful engagement programs in an environment of tight budgets.
