Bright Purple Streamlines HR Management With Cezanne OnDemand HR Software

Specialist recruitment firm Bright Purple Resourcing is streamlining its people management processes with the help of Cezanne OnDemand – the first online HR software to be available to companies on a pay-as-you-go basis.

The Edinburgh-based business specialises in recruiting staff for the IT and financial services sectors. It employs 60 people at its Scottish HQ as well as in offices in London, Singapore and Lithuania.

The business, which has recently been ranked among the top 10 ‘Best Workplaces in Scotland’ has seen a 300 per cent increase in revenues since 2009, generating nearly £40m in turnover in the last financial year.

Bright Purple had outgrown its previous HR software solution and was looking for a cost-effective, flexible solution that could keep pace with its ambitious plans for expansion. Cezanne OnDemand particularly appealed because of its ground-breaking pricing model.

The solution is offered on a pay-as-you-go basis, with fees adjusted up or down to reflect the number of employees being managed each month. Pricing starts at just £2 per employee per month for HR and absence management, with a performance management module available for just an extra £1 per employee per month.

The company also liked the fact that Cezanne OnDemand includes employee self-service, which can be used to manage key processes such as holiday and sickness absence, and to allow employees to keep personal information up to date. “We were looking for a solution that would reduce some of the administrative burden and allow employees to be more proactive about managing their own information,” HR Manager Diana Plesniak explained. “Self-service has already proved to be a popular option with employees, who like the fact they can log in at any time to check on their holiday entitlement and put in a request for annual leave.”

Diana and a colleague were trained on the system via a webinar and subsequently rolled the training out in-house to managers and employees. “People have found it very easy to use and once the employee data had been entered we were able to get up and running very quickly,” says Diana. “Initial feedback has been positive and we are already seeing a reduction in admin time.”

The business is considering the possibility of taking up the performance management module later this year.
