Staff Management/SMX Partners With A Specialty Packaging Company To Provide A Vendor-On-Premise Staffing Solution
Chicago, IL - Staff Management/SMX, a pioneer in high-volume, vendor-on-premise (VOP) and Managed Service Provider (MSP) staffing solutions, has been awarded a multi-year, multi-million dollar contract with a major, international manufacturer of promotional packaging and related turnkey services for retail display. Under the terms of the deal, Staff Management will provide their client with a customized, VOP staffing solution across its multiple facilities in the Charlotte, NC area.
"Our client was looking for a proactive, flexible and knowledgeable partner who can leverage industry best practices to address their workforce and data management needs," said Caroline Storey-Sabetti, Senior Director of Sales for Staff Management/SMX. "We deployed a customized staffing solution that includes Unitime, a fully integrated and configurable time and attendance system, which mirrors the timekeeping requirements at our client's facilities," she continued. "In addition, SMX installed StaffTrack.net, our proprietary, HRIS web-based system that allows our on-site service team to download HR information into Unitime, effectively matching employees between the two systems."
The online technology embedded in StaffTrack.net provides real-time data capture and updates for SMX's service teams' day-to-day administrative functions, and improved the client's access to accurate and timely data and analysis. This reduced administrative burden allows the SMX on-site teams to re-focus their time and energy on servicing client needs, resulting in increased efficiencies and engagement. As part of their comprehensive solution, SMX also deployed an online client portal, called MyStaffTrack.net, which provides their client with access to real-time reports.
One of the client's primary drivers in selecting the SMX staffing solution was to ensure a strong "on-the-floor" presence and proactive workforce management focused on key techniques, such as: accurate labor delivery to floor assignments; shift check-in management, including badge scanning for multiple shifts at five different buildings; and employee performance and safety management. Another significant program expectation included an SMX professional service team that was aligned culturally with the client, driven by Standard Operating Procedures and Frameworks, and highly engaged in supporting the client's goals of quality and safety within their facility.
With a strong focus on driving increased productivity while lowering costs, the two partners are now exploring ways to expand the program's scope and enhancements to a SMX managed "Pay-for-Performance" compensation plan with built-in incentives to drive even greater efficiency on designated production lines.
